Description: The Ballot_Drop_Box_Locations layer details the location of every Official Ballot Drop Box in Deschutes County. Each box is owned and maintained by the County Clerk’s Office and serve as secure and convenient receptacles for ballots during an election. Voters can use this layer to identify the box type (walk-up or drive-through) and to locate their nearest ballot box to cast their ballot. Ballots are collected from the Ballot Drop Boxes at regular intervals throughout the voting period. Boxes become operational (are opened) 18 days before Election Day and close at 8 pm on Election Day.
